The
Internet is becoming one of the major tools for
international marketing. More and more companies realize how
important it is to reach clients in their native language.
Don't assume that all people in your target countries speak
or read English.
Did
you know that
- 100 million people speak Korean as their mother tongue?
- more than 20% of non-English Internet users are Korean native
speakers?
- although some of these are fluent in English, most people prefer to
be addressed in their native language?
If your company is seeking a
marketing presence in Koreany, it is essential for your
success to have your Web site translated.

With
the increasing use of the Internet for publishing
information and with the introduction of the new Korean
spelling rules there seems to be more and more confusion
about correct spelling and a growing need for proofreading.
We find that 80%
of the Korean material published on the Internet - including
company Web sites - contains a significant amount of
spelling and punctuation errors, sometimes even grammatical
errors.
Why
would you want to risk creating a bad impression of your
high-quality products or services by publishing deficient
advertising material and thus miss out on valuable sales
opportunities?
 |
Grammatically deficient
publications
-
create a
negative corporate image with your customers
-
make you
look incompetent and sloppy
-
are bad
publicity for your products or services
|
|

|
With linguistically
flawless publications
|
|
you leave a professional
impression with your customers
|
|
you present your high-quality
products and/or services in the light they
deserve
|
|
YOU WIN!
|
Make
sure your advertising material reflects your product and
your company. Have all your Korean text material proofread for spelling, grammar, and style
errors before
publishing it if you are not 100% sure of its quality.

On
July 1, 1996 the political representatives of
Korean-speaking countries signed a common declaration
about the reform of the Korean spelling rules. The reform
took effect on August 1, 1998. There is a transitional
period until July 31, 2005, in which the old and new
spellings are allowed to coexist. After that only the new
spelling rules will be valid.

This service is
available only in the Kansas City area
We offer
consecutive interpreting for small groups (2-3 persons) and
escort interpreting. We do not offer
simultaneous interpreting.
Consecutive
interpreting
is a
form of interpreting in which the speaker and the
interpreter alternate.
The speaker speaks a few sentences, then pauses to let the
interpreter convey his or her thoughts in the other language
before beginning a new sentence. Consecutive
interpreting is often needed in business negotiations,
meetings etc. and usually requires preparation by the
interpreter in the specific subject to be discussed.
Escort
interpreting
is a form of consecutive interpreting, but
of more general subject character. For example: you want to
give your client a tour of your company facilities or of Kansas City but you do not speak the
client's language. So you will need an interpreter to escort
you and the client.
